Employer Resources

The Office of Career and Professional Development (OCPD) welcomes employers to recruit students and alumni for school year, summer and post-graduate positions. The OCPD utilizes a variety of services in order to assist employers in meeting their recruiting needs.

Post a Job Online

If seeking to fill summer, school year part-time, entry-level, or lateral employment needs, the OCPD encourages employers to submit a job listing on Symplicity. This service is free for employers, and they may create their own Symplicity account that enables them to post available positions. Employers may also click here to send the information to the OCPD and we will take care of posting on Symplicity.

Early Interview Program (for 2L Summer Positions)

The OCPD hosts an Early Interview Program ("EIP") featuring employers from Big Law that are interested in interviewing rising 2L students.  The program typically runs from late-July-August each year.  Please contact the OCPD if interested in participating.

Fall & Spring Interview Programs

The OCPD hosts a Fall Interview Program ("FIP") for participating employers to interview 2L students for summer positions, and/or 3L and LL.M. students for entry-level positions.  This program typically runs from mid-August to mid-October each year.  FIP features employers from the private sector, government agencies, the judiciary, public interest organizations, and corporate legal departments.

The OCPD also hosts a Spring Interview Program ("SIP") for participating employers to interview 1L and 2L students for summer positions, and/or 3L and LL.M. students for entry-level positions. This program typically runs from Febraury - April. SIP features small and mid-sized law firms, corporations,
government agencies and public interest organizations.

All dates are assigned on a first-come, first-served basis and particpation is free.  Please contact the OCPD if interested in participating.

Miami Law Annual Informational Career Fairs

The Career Fairs are designed to promote awareness of the many private and public sector career opportunities available to our students. This is an invaluable opportunity to meet our students and educate them about your experience and practice area, while highlighting your organization.  For more information, please contact the OCPD.

Participate in the Miami Law Externship Program

The Miami Law Externship Program places second year (2L), third year (3L) and LL.M. students in a direct working relationship with local, national, and international corporations, government agencies, public interest organizations and the judiciary for academic credit. Students gain practical legal experience by working under a lawyer's supervision. Externs may work during the fall, spring and summer.
