Professor Bernard Oxman to Lecture in Korea on the South China Sea Dispute

The Korean Society of International Law has invited Professor Bernard Oxman  to present an analysis of the substantive issues in the South China Sea dispute at its 2016 International Conference on the Law of the Sea in early December.  Professor Oxman also has been invited to deliver two other lectures during his stay in Seoul, one at Hankuk University of Foreign Studies on the Relationship between the United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea and other Treaties, and the other at Yonsei University on the topic of Dispute Settlement under the Convention. Professor Oxman, the Richard A. Hausler Professor of Law, regularly teaches conflict of laws, international law, law of the sea, and torts. He is the only American lawyer ever appointed to serve as judge ad hoc before the International Court of Justice and the International Tribunal for the Law of the Sea.
