Law Family Weekend

September 24–26, 2026

Family Weekend, held annually between mid-September and early October, invites law parents/partners to reconnect with your law student, meet other Law Cane families, and interact with School of Law faculty and staff while getting a preview of daily life on campus.

In addition to attending engaging programs and activities, you will also have the option to purchase tickets to the Hurricanes football game. 

All activities are optional but to fully engage in all Family Weekend activities, we recommend arriving in Miami on Thursday and departing Miami on Sunday.

    • Law School Programs/ Resources/ Student Organization Fair

    6:30 PM - 8:30 PM, Location - Regatta Grove, 3415 Pan American Dr., Miami, FL 33133

    • Happy Hour with other Law Families (Guests are responsible for their own food and beverages)

  • Friday, September 25

    3:30 PM 

    • Check-in begins at Law School

    4:00 PM - 6:00 PM

    • Mock classes with Law Professors 

    6:00 PM - 8:00 PM

    • Cocktail reception

  • Saturday, September 26

    2:30 PM - 5:30 PM

    • Student Bar Association Tailgate at Hard Rock Stadium

    6:30 PM 

    • University of Miami (UM) vs. Central Michigan University (CMU) Football Game
      (Separately ticketed)

  • Registration closed on Friday, September 4 at 5:00 PM ET.
  • Law events are free, except for tickets to the UM football game.
