They also have facilities in downtown Buenos Aires, in the heart of the city with cafes and boutiques as well as residential and corporate buildings.
Fall semester only: from August – December
The University of San Andres offers various resources and services to support students who might need special accommodations. Please contact the International Program Office directly for more information.
Students should determine the courses that they would like to take based on the course list provided on their website. Most courses are in Spanish, there is only a limited number of courses in English (5-10). Not all courses offered in English are available every semester, and there is no guarantee that the courses will be able to accommodate exchange students, possibly making it difficult to enroll in a full-load of English-language law courses.
Students may not transfer foreign language or other non-law courses taken at the partner exchange school back to Miami Law for J.D. credit. If a student enrolls in such courses, they understand they are for self-interest only and will not be considered for transfer towards their J.D. degree.
Students are provided housing options in the safest, most desirable and conveniently located neighborhoods within the city of Buenos Aires. They may elect to live close to campus in the beautiful neighborhoods north of the city along the Rio de la Plata. There are many affordable transportation options to get around and to arrive at campus. Host Families: Students may wish to live with an Argentine family during their stay. UdeSA staff provides a list of families who have hosted international students in the past. This option usually includes breakfast and dinner every day (except for dinner on Saturdays). These arrangements, as well as cost, shall be finalized between students and their host family. Apartment: San Andrés provides resources and recommendations for students to find a rented, furnished apartment, usually shared with a roommate.
Students participating in Miami Law’s semester abroad program will pay regular full-time Miami Law tuition for the semester that they study abroad. During the semester abroad, University of Miami on-campus fees will not be charged. Students generally will not owe tuition to a partner exchange school while studying abroad through Miami Law’s International Exchange Programs, as long as they stay within the host institution’s credit limits (if applicable). Some administrative fees may apply. These are some of the expenses that students might incur: Please refer to The University of San Andre’s Fact Sheet for other estimated costs including personal expenses like meals, laundry, etc. These figures are estimates and are subject to change at any moment.
