Professor Bernard Perlmutter, Co-Director of the Children & Youth Law Clinic, gave three presentations at the International Academy of Law and Mental Health's 36th International Congress on Law and Mental Health held at Sapienza Università di Roma. The presentations included “Letting Kids Be Kids: TJ Perspectives on Youth Voice in Foster Care Legislative Reform to Achieve 'Normalcy,'" “Mental Health and Wellness for Lawyers, Mindfulness in the Practice of Law” (commenter on presentation by Professor Scott Rogers), and “Voice, Validation, and Voluntary Participation for Juveniles: Putting the 'Three V’s' to the Test.” He also gave a presentation on “Voice, Validation, and Voluntary Participation for Juveniles: Putting the 'Three V’s' to the Test,” at the International Society for Therapeutic Jurisprudence Scholarly Workshop held at Nova Southeastern University. In addition to his teaching duties at the Clinic, Professor Perlmutter teaches Family Law, Transnational Family Law, Children and the Law, and New Directions in Lawyering: Interviewing, Counseling and Attorney-Client Relational Skills.
