Professor A. Michael Froomkin to Speak on Artificial Intelligence and Privacy Law at Stanford, U Florida and GW Law Schools


Professor A. Michael Froomkin, the Laurie Silvers and Mitchell Rubenstein Distinguished Professor of Law, will participate in the We Robot 2018 conference at Stanford Law School, where he will give a talk on "When AIs Outperform Doctors: The dangers of a tort-induced over-reliance on machine learning and what (not) to do about it." He will also participate in the University of Florida Levin College of Law’s Technology, Media & Privacy Law Conference as a panelist on “Anonymity in the New Media Landscape” in April and in the 11th annual Privacy Law Scholars Conference at George Washington University Law School.  Professor Froomkin is the founder and editor-in-chief of JOTWELL: The Journal of Things We Like (Lots), an online law journal that publishes reviews of the best new scholarship relating to the law.  He is also the founder of the We Robot conference on legal and policy issues relating to robotics.
