Jan L. Jacobowitz Speaks at ABA Center for Professional Responsibility


Lecturer in Law and Director of the Professional Responsibility & Ethics Program (PREP), Jan Jacobowitz,  recently participated on two panels at the ABA Center for Professional Responsibility 42nd National Conference.  Jacobowitz was one of two panelists who spoke on the panel “The Future of Professionalism:  Maintaining Civility in an Online World.” She was also one of two panelists on the panel “The Ethics of Advising Clients on Social Media.”  Under her direction, PREP was a 2012 recipient of the ABA’s E. Smythe Gambrell Award.  She is a frequent speaker on legal ethics, has authored several articles on legal ethics and social media and teaches the courses Social Media and the Law and Professional Responsibility for Lawyers in the Digital Age.
