Professor Markus Wagner's Article Selected by the American Society for International Law

Professor Markus Wagner's article "Autonomy in the Battlespace: Independently Operating Weapon Systems and the Law of Armed Conflict" was among the articles selected by the American Society for International Law for a conference on emerging issues in the area of international law and technology. In the article, which was recently published as part of an edited collection titled International Humanitarian Law and the Changing Technology of War, Professor Wagner analyzes the extent to which the use of autonomous weapon systems in the modern battlespace is permissible under the law of armed conflict. Professor Wagner teaches in the areas of international and comparative law, as well as constitutional law.
