Comillas Pontifical University Exchange Program

The university was founded in 1890 as a private Catholic university in Comillas before moving to Madrid in the 1960s. The Faculty of Law is located on the Alberto Aguilera campus and offers a range of law courses related to international business, human rights and EU law.

About Madrid

Madrid is the capital of Spain and is the center of political, government and financial life. The largest Spanish companies and major multinational corporations have their headquarters in the city, which make it an ideal location to conduct global business. Madrid is a magnet for foreign investment as well as wonderful culture, cuisine and nightlife.

Tuition and Housing

  • Incoming exchange students: pay tuition to their home school, and required student health insurance and University fees to the University of Miami.
  • Outgoing Miami Law students: pay tuition and other required fees to the University of Miami School of Law. Miami Law students pay no tuition or fees to the partner school except for certain social events and discretionary fees.

Application

Miami Law selects the two most qualified students to propose to Comillas each academic year. Comillas will make the final decision on admission. To apply, please send:

  • A short letter (1-2 pages) stating the reasons for your interest
  • A copy of one’s CV; and
  • A copy of your unofficial law school transcript.

Deadline

Application materials need to be received by March 1st for fall semester, and by October 1st for spring semester. Please send to intlexchange@law.miami.edu.
