Mission Statement
Constitution, Bylaws and Rules Committee
The mission of the Constitution, Bylaws and Rules Committee is to effectively protect the order, rights, and rules of the student body and their elected representatives. The committee is currently working on writing proposals to modernize the SBA Constitution in. The committee also wishes to raise student body awareness of their rights established through the SBA Constitution.

Budget and Finance Committee
The mission of the Budget and Finance Committee is to maintain a fiscally responsible budget and provide transparent and equitable distribution of SBA funds to maximize benefits for the entire student body.

Social and Philanthropy Committee
Sitting Senators: Nisha Bhatia and David Moreno
The Social and Philanthropy Committee is led by 3L Senator Nisha Bhatia and 2L Senators David Moreno and Adam Bair. The committee is dedicated to hosting various events that are enjoyable and beneficial to the law school population. The Committee plans on involving students more in choosing which events they would like to participate in, whether athletic, social, or philanthropic. The Committee has joined hands with Best Buddies, a non profit organization which benefits people with intellectual disabilities, to host a fundraiser networking event for South Florida lawyers and law students. The Committee is also working with the UM Real Estate Trust & Law Society to gather law students to volunteer for Habitat for Humanity.
Judicial and Executive Appointment Committee
The Judicial and Executive Appointment Committee’s mission is to serve as a check on the Presidential appointments and nominations by screening the offered candidates. The committee is currently in the process of screening the President's nominations to the Supreme Court.

University Public Relations Committee
The mission of the University Public Relations Committee is to promote the image of the University of Miami School of Law by securing public recognition in the media and in the community. The committee’s current projects include placement in local newspapers events highlighting events demonstrating the university's commitment to excellence.
