Phi Alpha Delta
Dear Members and Potential Members,
Welcome to the Phi Alpha Delta Legal Fraternity Rasco Chapter at the University of Miami School of Law!
Phi Alpha Delta is a legal professional fraternity composed on students, attorneys, judges and educators worldwide. With over 250,000 living members across the world, therefore, approximately one in six attorneys is a member. We are dedicated to promoting professional competency, service and achievement within the legal profession.
PAD bridges the gap between undergraduate work and law school and law school and the practice of law. We seek to promote professional, social, academic and community service programs designed to broaden the experience of UM Law with our members!
PAD is a way to meet 2/3L students right away, get information on scheduling, courses, exams and free outlines during your 1L year while meeting new people. As a 2/3L the PAD alumni and networking events are extremely helpful in the worldwide job market, not just Miami.
PAD at the UM Campus is well known for our PAD Outline Bank. Members receive free outlines for all of law school and all outlines are professor and course specific from a student who received a B or better in the course. We also have 2/3L mentors for any incoming 1L member.
PAD also hosts several social functions each semester, monthly meetings, fundraising events, alumni networking events and socials as well as educational programming.
Phi Alpha Delta does not impose restrictions on membership. Any law student who is interested in providing service to the school, community and profession, and who is looking to explain their social network at UM are welcome to join! We are a Chapter of the National Legal Fraternity of Phi Alpha Delta so members will be required to pay a onetime fee of $80.00 to the National office for a lifetime membership.
