Charles C. Papy, Jr. Moot Court Board Information
The Charles C. Papy, Jr. Moot Court Board is a student-run, honorary organization that focuses on recruiting and training the finest oral and written advocates in the country. As the oldest, largest, and most prestigious advocacy program at UM Law, the Board limits it's new membership to the top 7% of the first year class. In addition to academic credentials, membership on the Board is primarily determined through performance in the John T. Gaubatz Competition, which occurs during the summer after the first year of law school.
Building on the legacy of interschool achievements and maintaining its ranking as a top-20 national program, the Board will host the fall Negotiation Competition, the fall and spring C. Clyde Atkins Advanced Moot Court Competitions, the John T. Gaubatz Competition, and the 11th Circuit Bankruptcy Competition; all of which serve to hone oral advocacy and writing skills.
With the support of the University of Miami School of Law as well as local and national alumni, the Charles C. Papy Jr. Moot Court Board will continue to encourage excellence in oral and written advocacy on campus and around the nation.
Sincerely,
Eric S. Olson
