Welcome to the Intellectual Property Law Society (IPLS) at the University of Miami School of Law! IPLS is a law student organization whose mission is to educate students interested in intellectual property law and provide valuable networking opportunities. We work closely with practicing IP professionals in South Florida to provide unique opportunities for both the UM and South Florida community.

 

We strive to offer one-of-a-kind events that are both fun and informative for our members. Some of the events we hosted in 2009-2010 included: Guitar Hero vs. Rockband Spring Symposium, 2nd Annual IP Wine Tasting Seminar, Two film screenings featuring Copyright Criminals (co-hosted with ESLS) and Flash of Genius, Patent Bar Information Session, Course and Career Advising Session, and several Happy Hour Networking Events.
