The Immigration Law Society's first meeting will be held on Wednesday, September 10th at 12:30pm in room F-209.  Please come join us if you would like to get involved in immigration projects in the community and on campus throughout the 2008-2009 school year.  Please contact Larisa Hernandez at LH7218@students.law.miami.edu or Yoka Dekeersshieter at JK1003@students.law.miami.edu if you have any questions.

The University of Miami Immigration Law Society is a student organization dedicated to the practice of immigration law.  Specifically, we hope to spread awareness of immigration issues to the entire law school community through speeches, lectures and seminars.  Furthermore, we hope to provide a link between current students interested in practicing immigration law and local Miami attorneys practicing in this field.  Our organization will work with local practioners to provide job and internship opportunities to our students.  Finally, we seek to provide pro bono legal work for the benefit of immigrants residing in South Florida.  If you have any questions for our organization or would like to get involved, please contact one of our executive board members listed below.
