Founded in 1995, the Family Law Society became the Child Advocacy and Family Law Society (CAFLS) in 2011, after recognizing an unaddressed need for passionate child advocates. The Child Advocate and Family Law Society is a student organization dedicated to encouraging, educating and promoting awareness of critical issues in child and family law. We understand that the key to our success and strength as a student organization is the academic and professional success of our student members. Therefore CAFLS strives to integrate students with the local community and leading family law professional through panel discussions, faculty luncheons and information sessions. We also provide unique networking and mentorship opportunities through our affiliation with the Miami Family Court Services, the Dade County Bar Association and the Miami Family Law Inns of Court. Our goal is facilitate an open discourse through the exchange of knowledge, views and ideas. We invite you to join our diverse and dedicated students in service, leadership and education.
