Purpose

 

The purpose of the organization is to examine policy issues and career opportunities in environmental law and related areas, and to promote the environmental interests of the school and students at the University of Miami School of Law to the local and national community.

 

Tentative School Year 08-09 Activities

 

  • Guest Speaker, Annette Taddeo (Candidate for US Congress from Florida’s 18th District)
  • Environmental Law Career Panel
  • Climate Change Panel
  • Special Earth Day Event
  • Kayaking in the Everglades or Key Biscayne, Biking in the Everglades, Snorkeling
  • Community service events including a “coastal cleanup”
  • Ongoing campus-based recycling activities
