The purpose of the Entertainment and Sports Law Society is to educate and inform students about the representation of entertainment and sports figures and entities, including actors, musicians, athletes, and sports franchises. The ESLS sponsors several seminars annually featuring leading attorneys from across the country.
Annual Entertainment and Sports Law Symposium
Each year, our Society hosts a one day event for law students and local professionals to take part in a legal forum to discuss issues in sports, entertainment, intellectual property, the arts and the media. As part of this endeavor, we invite local and national attorneys, faculty, agents, legal advisers, athletes, and entertainers to serve as panelists, lead Q and A sessions, and foster academic debate. In addition, the symposium offers our students a venue to meet and network with local professionals working in the careers they would like to pursue. What is more, the event serves as an invaluable opportunity for alumni and local firms to connect with aspiring attorneys and agents here at UM Law.
