1L Spring 2009 Orientation
Dear 1L Students,
We look forward to welcoming you back to UM Law for the spring semester on January 6. The week of January 6-9 will include four distinct but important components:
--The start of the Spring LRW classes;
--Library Training in Electronic Research including Lexis & Westlaw
--Career Development Office sessions to help you launch your job search for the Summer and beyond;
--Dean of Students Orientation regarding your bar application, with a particular focus on the importance of the character and fitness disclosures.
All four of these components are mandatory and your attendance will be monitored.
In addition, we will be serving a welcome back luncheon on Tuesday, January 6 and we have invited our student leaders to organize a social event for one evening that week.
Please review this website. You must register as soon as possible for the library training sessions. The other sessions do not require advance registration.
Feel free to contact us with any questions or concerns.
Best regards,
Janet Stearns
