Home  /  News  /  UM Law School Professor M. Minnette Massey to Participate in ABA Tort Trial and Insurance Practice Program

UM Law School Professor M. Minnette Massey will be participating in an ABA Tort Trial and Insurance Practice Program on The Future of Class Action Litigation in America, on October 24 - 26, 2007 in Washington, DC. The Tort Trial and Insurance Practice Section (TIPS) serves as the balanced voice of the profession on issues related to the civil justice system and insurance/liability law. Despite the passage of the Class Action Fairness Act (CAFA) or perhaps as a result of it, class action litigation appears to be growing in every direction and aggressively following every possible lead and theory. New rules, new subject matters and new strategies are changing the landscape of class action litigation. This program will bring together the leading judges, academics, practitioners and policy makers in the field to discuss and debate the most recent developments and the future of class action litigation in America.
