Winners of the 2006 Moot Court Mock Trial Competition announced
The Charles C. Papy Jr. Moot Court Board would like to congratulate Lauren Abbott and Jennifer Hochstadt, winners of the 2006 Mock Trial Competition. Jennifer Hochstadt also received recognition as the “Best Oral Advocate.”

Led by Vice President Anick Forcier, the Mock Trial Competition began with 16 teams representing both the state and defense in a criminal trial and culminated with the top two teams trying their case in the Final round. Participants were evaluated by local attorneys and judges based on their level of excellence in strategy, technique, and oral advocacy in the courtroom.
The final round was judged by a distinguished panel of judges and attorneys consisting of Criminal Division Judge Norma Lindsey, Assistant United States Attorney James Koukios, Miami-Dade Public Defender Marc Morris, and Criminal Defense Attorney David Oscar Markus.
