
Spencer Aronfeld Award for Public Justice
The Spencer Aronfeld Award for Public Justice was established in 1998 by Spencer M. Aronfeld, JD'91, to recognize students with outstanding advocacy skills in the public service. Spencer Aronfeld, left, and his wife, Dina, far right, presented this year's award to graduating 3L Melissa N. Beigel, who has an outstanding record in the public service during her three years at UM Law and before that at Indiana University, from which she received her baccalaureate degree in May 2001. Melissa Beigel graduated cum laude from UM Law on May 16, 2004. Also pictured is associate dean of students William P. VanderWyden, who coordinates the presentation of this annual award.
