"Face-Off on Facebook" – Miami Law Students Teach Ethical Issues in an Electronic Age to Legal Aid Society

Miami Law's Professional Responsibility and Ethics Program (PREP) recently presented an ethics training at the Legal Aid Society of Dade County Bar Association. Under the supervision of Director Jan L. Jacobowitz, third-year law students Robert Zavistoski and Candice K. Stephenson, and second-year law student Charles Muniz, presented a training that addressed hotly debated ethical issues faced by lawyers in an electronic age.

Miami Law Continues To Offer Innovative Programs With The Announcement Of New Joint Degree In Law And Communications

Miami Law has announced the launch of a new joint degree program in Law and Communications (J.D./M.A.) – the first interdisciplinary program at the University of Miami to allow students to earn a J.D. and an M.A. in communication in less than three and a half years.

Clinic Students Visit South Florida Haitians Detained In Remote Louisiana Towns

Eight clinic students from Miami Law traveled to three detention centers in remote areas of Louisiana to meet with Haitian nationals facing imminent removal to Haiti. Many of the immigrants are longtime South Florida residents with family members who are United States citizens.
