Art Exhibit / Reception To Benefit Hausler Fund

Alumni, students and friends of UM Law are invited to a June 29 reception to view new works by Miami-based artist and UM Law alumnus Xavier Cortada (Class of 1992).

The reception, from 5:30 to 8 p.m. at the Casa Grande Cultural Center, at 104 SW 9th Street in Miami, will benefit fundraising efforts for a bust and scholarship honoring the late Prof. Richard A. Hausler. (For directions to Cultural Center, which is across the street from the Brickell Metrorail station, please visit the artist's Web site, www.cortada.com.)

The reception will include complimentary hors d'oeuvres and bar. Suggested donations are $100 for hosts and at least $10 for each of their guests. Each host will receive one of Cortada's Athena posters. Donations will go to the Law Alumni Association's Hausler Fund.
