On Saturday, February 19th, the Law School's Entertainment & Sports Law Society held its annual symposium on campus. Cutting-edge issues were addressed by top attorneys and other professionals in sports and entertainment law. The full-day symposium was filled with breakout and panel discussions featuring, among others, Clark Griffith, chair of the ABA Sports Division and former owner and executive VP of Minnesota Twins Baseball Club; Terri James, former counsel at 20th Century Fox Corporation and current Professor at the Law School; Katrina Campins, weekly correspondent for ESPN and contestant on Season 1 of "The Apprentice;" Derek Jackson, General Counsel for the Florida Marlins; Moses Avalon, author of best-selling books on the music industry; and Law School adjunct faculty members Donald Papy, George Tavares and Julian Kreeger.

Topics included the effects of "reality TV" on the viewing public; lawyer ethics and the media; the art of making the deal; and building a business, negotiating sponsorship contracts, and more. The symposium was followed by a reception at which attendees and students networked with speakers.
