H.O.P.E. ( Helping Others through Pro Bono Efforts) hosted its second carnival on March 5th, 1999. Student chairs Victoria Mendez and Allison Stone worked tirelessly to ensure that all of the children would enjoy midway games, music, food and visits by the UM Ibis and the Miami Firefighters. Many corporationsm including WinnDixie, Target, Office Depot, Church's Chicken and more, donated prizes and food for what has quickly become a UM Law tradition. This program, among others through the student organizations, seeks to positively impact the lives of others in the community through creative outreach programming. " It's the best thing I have participated in since coming to the law school," said second-year Missy Parker.
