UM Law student Irma Khoja spoke at the seventh annual Universal Muslim Association of America Conference on May 24, 2009 in Washington D.C. At the conference, Khoja joined distinguished speakers from the Muslim community on a panel about domestic violence in the Muslim community.

This summer, Khoja is serving as a HOPE Fellow with the Florida Immigrant Advocacy Center (FIAC) where she will work with immigrant domestic violence victims.

“I am very excited about this HOPE Fellowship opportunity with FIAC,” said Khoja. “The speaking opportunity [was] a good segue to my summer internship.”
