Honor Roll of Donors 2007 - 2008
Dear alumni and friends:
MOMENTUM, the campaign for the University of Miami, closed with resounding success at the end of December, 2007. The success of this campaign has enabled us to strengthen every aspect of the University of Miami School of Law. It has provided support to help us fund high-quality academic programs and faculty chairs and has allowed us to increase scholarship opportunities for our law students. The overwhelming success of this campaign is due in great part to the bold strategy of its campaign chair, Dean C. Colson, JD’77 and the effective leadership of our school co-chairs, Hilarie Bass, JD’81 and Wayne Chaplin, JD’82. Their exceptional efforts helped us raise more than $22.5 million for the School of Law -- a 40% increase beyond our original goal of $16M.
The consistent generosity of alumni and friends has laid the groundwork for even greater achievements in the future. The School of Law received over $3.1M in gifts during the last fiscal year, June 1, 2007 – May 31, 2008. The faculty, alumni and students of our school are grateful for Dean Dennis O. Lynch’s inspiring guidance and outstanding leadership during this time. Your trust and belief in our mission to educate the best and the brightest legal scholars and lawyers of the next millennium is gratifying. Thank you!
