
UM Law student Harout Samra named among CNN's "Young People who Rock"
UM Law student Harout Samra has become very active in politics over the years. So much so that several media outlets have sought his opinion about the upcoming presidential election and CNN recently featured him on Young People Who Rock, a blog series that profiles people under 30 who are doing remarkable things.
The 2009 Juris Doctor candidate is Editor-in-Chief of the Res Ipsa Loquitur and former Executive Editor of the Inter-American Law Review. He holds a Bachelor's in economics and political science and a Masters in Business Administration, both from the University of Miami.
As an undergraduate, Samra co-founded the Florida Federation of College Republicans, an organization he chairs that coordinates college outreach initiatives and other grass roots efforts. Samra also co-founded and serves on the Board of Directors for StrongParty.org, is director of political affairs for the New Voter Foundation, and is chairman of Florida Students for McCain.
