Please follow these application procedures carefully.

1. Fill out, sign, and return the application form to the Office of International Graduate Law Programs, University of Miami School of Law, P.O. Box 248087, Coral Gables, Florida 33124, U.S.A.

2. Submit a U.S.D. $50.00 money order or check drawn on a bank in the United States payable to the University of Miami. This application fee is non-refundable, and will not be credited toward tuition or any other account in the event of admission.

3. Submit a statement of purpose of approximately 500 words addressing your academic and professional background, your professional goals, specific areas of interest, and other matters which you think are of importance. This statement is to be prepared by you without any outside help or evaluation whatsoever, and is to contain a statement to that effect. We encourage you to summarize your background in a résumé or curriculum vitae.

4. Arrange for original transcripts from your undergraduate university and law school. As well, arrange for a copy of your LSDAS report, which includes the LSAT score.  We will accept a copy of the complete report mailed directly from your law school.

5. Request two of your law school professors to send directly to the Office of International Graduate Law Programs letters of recommendation stating in detail their opinion as to your qualifications for graduate study of law. Attorneys in practice more than two years may substitute letters of recommendation from an employer or colleague.
