* Timesheets are turned in early due to holiday
Procedure
Email submission of detailed work descriptions have been replaced by regularly updated work sheets, through front page (and email notification that the sheets are finalized).
Email notification due dates are determined by the
submittal dates listed in the
time table handed out by student employment. You
must finalize your time sheets one day before the date indicated
by the University
Student Employment office to give us time to process and submit the
information. See UM
Student Employment 2002-2003 Hourly Payroll Schedule.
Update the work sheets as indicated in the Sample
work sheet. Send an email notifying me that you have finalized the
time sheet. In the email include the total number of hours worked in
the pay period. The emails are still due the
day before the hard copy submission which is carried out by the Law
Library. If your work sheets are not updated as
indicated and email notification not sent, your time will not be reported this
pay period.
In some instances work sheets are due before a pay period ends due to holiday
schedules. Please provide a reasonable estimate of the hours you
anticipate you will work in the manner described.
If there are changes, i.e., you worked less or
more than you reported, please advise me and the difference will be made up in
the next pay period.
As you can see, not all email due dates fall on a Sunday, the day before the
usual Monday hard copy submission by the Law Library. Please make every
attempt to be accurate and descriptive in your reporting of hours. Discrepancies
between time of day hours and sub-total hours will be initially resolved in
favor of time of day hours (if you report working between noon and 4pm, but list
5 hours sub-total for the day, I will report 4 hours). I will email you
regarding mistakes. Corrections will be made in the next pay
period.
