     Russian Judges Visit    

          Under the auspices of the Library of Congress “Open
          World Program, a delegation of judges
from Russia –
          the Honorable Igor Vitalyevich Khachev, the
          Honorable Yuriy Aleksandrovich Kurichev, the
          Honorable Svetlana Nikolayevna Likhodumova, the
          Honorable Irina Aleksandrovna Tatarinova and the
          Honorable Sergey Pavlovich Voronin – visited the
          School of Law on Wednesday, September 21, 2005.  


        
  Dean Jeannette Hausler (JD ’53) led the judges on a
          walking tour of the University of Miami campus
          including the Otto G. Richter Library’s Cuban
          Heritage Collection, the Bookstore, and the Lowe Art
          Museum. 


       
 The event, which was hosted by the Honorable A. Jay
         Cristol (JD ’59) and the Law Alumni Association,
         culminated with a luncheon at the Law School’s Alma
         Jennings Foundation Student Lounge where the judges
         were joined by Law Alumni Association President
         Barbara Perez (JD ‘93); Associate Dean Donna
         Coker; Professors Terence Anderson, Caroline   
         Bradley, Michael Froomkin, Robert Rosen, Alan
         Swan, Nicolò Trocker, William Widen and Bruce
         Winick; and several Russian-speaking students.  After
         their visit to  the School of Law, the judges enjoyed an
         afternoon excursion to the Miami Seaquarium.
