The Law Library is a research facility designed to support the work of students and faculty of the University of Miami School of Law. With over 620,000 volumes and volume equivalents (microforms), it is one of the largest legal research libraries in the Southeast.
Welcome to the Law Library! Please remember to stop by the circulation desk with your Cane ID to receive your Law Library folder.
The merger of Lexis Advance and Lexis.com has occurred. This means you must now use your Lexis Advance log on. (Your Lexis.com log on no longer works.) To get to Lexis.com, go to Lexis Advance (the screen with the carousel), click the red "Research" tab in the upper left, and select Lexis.com. The Lexis printers are connected to Lexis Advance only. Lexis.com will only print to an attached printer.
CALI provides hundreds of interactive lessons written by law faculty and librarians designed to help you understand many legal topics. (Instructions to register for CALI)
Lexis printers are available on the second floor of the law library. Please remember that Westlaw ended their printing program, so the Westlaw printers were removed from the third floor over the summer.
"Perhaps the two most valuable and satisfactory products of American civilization are the librarian on the one hand and the cocktail in the other."
