The Ocean and Coastal Law Program, generally for U.S. law graduates, has outstanding faculty and prepares attorneys to become specialists in the domestic and international legal problems associated with the use and protection of the marine environment. The Program's Chair, Professor Bernard H. Oxman, is widely recognized as a leading authority on the Law of the Sea and other international law topics. He is Co-Editor in Chief of the American Journal of International Law, and he has been an assistant legal adviser for Oceans, Environment, and Scientific Affairs in the U.S. Department of State, and was Vice-Chairman of the U.S. delegation to the Third United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea.
