The University of Miami School of Law offers a Specialization in International Arbitration as part of its Master of Laws in International Law (LL.M.). This specialization provides a unique educational opportunity for those wishing to acquire a profound grounding in the field of international arbitration.


Students in this program are offered specialized theoretical and practical courses in international arbitration taught by an internationally renowned faculty. In addition, there is a broad selection of related subjects including course offerings with a focus on Latin America for future practitioners wishing to pursue a career
involving interests in that region. Students may have the opportunity to participate in the annual Willem C. Vis International Commercial Arbitration Moot in Vienna
and the Spanish Language International Commercial Arbitration Moot in Madrid.


The Faculty Chair for the Specialization in International Arbitration is Professor Jan Paulsson, holder of the Michael Klein Distinguished Scholar Chair. The courses are taught by an outstanding faculty with extensive practical experience in all aspects of international arbitration and will be aligned with a newly established institute for international arbitration which will provide an enhanced curriculum, research facilities, training, and CLE programs.


The program is open to U.S. and foreign law graduates.
