Spanning eight distinct disciplines across the University of Miami, this truly interdisciplinary course gives students an exclusive opportunity to study the multiple perspectives within which we view, think, and work in hospitals. Based on the unique vision of the Vice Dean of the School of Law, Patrick Gudridge, we believe this course to be the first of its kind.

Course Specifics

• This is a unique, interdisciplinary graduate level course.
• Seven full-day/eight-hour Saturday classes ("modules") will be offered in the Spring 2013 semester.
• Students are required to attend the first and last sessions, on February 2nd and April 13th, and must then select 3 more full-day Saturdays (out of 5 possible choices) to attend.
• All lectures will be given at the School of Law in the Faculty Meeting Room, located on the 4th floor of the law library.
• Students will be evaluated based upon their analysis of a case study, which they will present in teams on April 13th. Students will be assigned to interdisciplinary groups and to case study topics at the beginning of the semester.
• Students should first register for this course through their own departments and should then visit the Interdisciplinary Course website to rank their 5 preferred class sessions.
• After registration, the course administrators will contact the students with assigned class dates and information on how to access course materials.
