The Career Development Office (CDO) gives students and alumni of the University of Miami School of Law a distinct advantage as they pursue their professional goals.

The CDO's eight advisors—all of whom have law degrees and practical experience in different areas of law—are available to meet with students to discuss job search strategies, review resumes and cover letters, conduct mock interviews, and answer the many questions that arise during the job search process. During their first year, students are assigned an advisor with whom they are encouraged to meet regularly throughout their law school careers.

The center's library provides a wealth of information to students researching employers, opportunities, and job search strategies, including profiles of more than one million lawyers, law firms, governmental offices and legal services agencies worldwide.
