Judge Beth Bloom - “It’s Your Life” Financial Literacy Project
It’s always great to see dedicated UM Law graduates contributing to the community and Judge Bloom is a wonderful example of outstanding dedication and commitment.
While a UM law student, she served as the President of the Student Bar Association, the Inter-Club Council, and was a member of the Society of Bar and Gavel. She has been elected into the Moot Court Hall of Fame, and has received the American Jurisprudence Award for Appellate Practice and Procedure.
One of her current projects is the “It’s Your Life” Financial Literacy Project. Judge Bloom and her team of volunteers strive to provide the knowledge and experience necessary to deal with the financial responsibilities of adulthood for those teens aging out of the foster care system. Through a series of once-a-month classes taught by compassionate volunteers, these teens become more aware of the nature of financial responsibilities. Kudos to Judge Bloom and her volunteers for making a difference in the lives of others.
