Alumna Claire Subran Speaks to the HOPE Public Interest Leadership Board
Claire Subran, Esq. J.D. came back to her alma mater to speak to the HOPE Public Interest Leadership Board about the work that she does as a staff attorney for Lawyers for Children America. Citing a desperate need for assistance in the field of children's advocacy, Subran urged students to find time to get involved by volunteering in any capacity. HOPE volunteers have already begun working with LFCA and are in the process of developing a training manual for the volunteer attorneys who pick up cases with LFCA.
Subran told students, " I wish we had had all of the clinics and public interest support when I came through the law school. It is wonderful to hear what you are doing!".
"As a Children and Youth Law Clinic legal intern, it was an honor to listen to a former CYLC intern speak and tell her story of the her path to Lawyers for Children America. I know I speak for my PILB colleagues when I say that Claire's visit was an inspiration to us all as we begin our own quests to serve the underserved and create positive change in our communities", said 3L Mindy Reinstein.

3Ls and 2007 HOPE Fellows Joy Purcell and Mindy Reinstein get a chance to catch up and
inspire others at the Public Interest Leadership Board meeting.
