Dale Dobuler

1L Miami Scholar Dale Dobuler is no stranger to the criminal justice system. A renowned advocate and reformer within the juvenile justice system for several years, Dale will continue his pathway of exploring the judicial system with a Federal Court internship with Judge Ursula Ungaro of the Southern District. Taking the lead, once again, Dale will serve as the primary intern for Judge Ungaro during the summer of 2009, assisting with the management of casework, research and shepherding other interns through the process.
Dale has also had the privilege to work with Judge Ungaro beyond the courtroom through Legal Up, a law-related education program designed to inform and empower underserved populations in such areas as civil rights, housing and employment.
“I have the great honor of working with Judge Ursula Ungaro during the summer of 2009, an experience that I am extremely excited about. Judge Ungaro, in addition to being a superb and experienced federal judge, is very involved in community education and outreach projects, an interest I also share. Having the ability to work directly with, and to learn from, Judge Ungaro presents me with an incredible opportunity to further my legal education. Additionally, the ability to experience the “real world” of court at the federal level as a new law student is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.”
