This session will help you become an effective communicator with clients, other lawyers, the public and groups to make you a better counselor, advocate, negotiator and public speaker. It will demonstrate how to deliver a clear and understandable message with honesty, respect and integrity. It will also explore the tenets of effective public speaking including how to conquer fear; know your audience; develop your opening; structure the body of your talk; develop a closing; select topics; gather information; develop a personal speaking style; handle questions; use effective delivery techniques; speak without notes; and appreciate when and how to use humor.
