Scholarships for Second and Third-year Students

Students who do not receive scholarships in the first year, but whose high academic accomplishments in law school merit recognition, will be considered for awards as rising second and third-year students. The amount awarded is not fixed each year. However, awards are limited to the availability of funds.

The Law School also offers a number of service scholarships to second and third-year students who are elected or appointed to certain leadership roles, such as president of the Student Bar Association, editor of the yearbook and law review editors.

All scholarships (academic, donor or service) are intended for full-time enrollment. Reduction in course load will result in reductions or cancellation of awarded scholarships. During the final semester of enrollment, scholarships will be pro-rated if a student's course load is less than full-time. There is NO exception to this policy.

Academic scholarships are for the fall and spring semester law school tuition only, and are available for one summer of enrollment in either one of our summer abroad programs or on-campus summer session following the first or second year of law school. 

Law School Grants

Law School Grants are awarded by the Scholarship Committee to rising second and third-year students based on demonstrated financial need, merit, and availability of funds.  They are awarded for full-time enrollment in the regular academic year and are not eligible for summer enrollment.  The only exception to full-time enrollment is for students who have been approved by the Dean of Students to be enrolled less than full-time for their final semester of enrollment.  If the student is in an approved final semester of enrollment at less than full-time status, the grant may be prorated.
