Peter Nemerovski graduated magna cum laude from Princeton University with a B.A. in Politics, and went on to earn his J.D.cum laude from the University of Michigan Law School. At Michigan, Professor Nemerovski was Executive Editor of the University of Michigan Journal of Law Reformand participated in the Henry M. Campbell Moot Court Competition.
After law school, Professor Nemerovski served as a law clerk to Judge Damon J. Keith of the United States Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit. In 2003, he joined the litigation department of O'Melveny & Myers LLP in Los Angeles, where he represented clients in antitrust, class action defense, contract law, personal injury defense, and trade secret misappropriation. Professor Nemerovski relocated to Florida in 2007 and joined the Miami office of Holland & Knight LLP, where he focused on products liability defense.
Professor Nemerovski joined the Miami Law faculty in 2010. He teaches Legal Communication and Research Skills I and II. In May 2011, he gave a presentation titled "Teaching, Modeling, and Evaluating Professionalism in the First-Year Legal Writing Class" at the Empire State Legal Writing Conference in New York, NY. He also presented at a Legal Writing Institute conference in Miami in December 2011, and at the Legal Writing Institute's biennial national conference in Palm Desert, California, in May 2012.
In May 2012, Professor Nemerovski was appointed to a two-year term as Chair of the Legal Communication and Research Skills faculty.
