Nicholas LaTerza is a veteran transactional lawyer and business affairs executive with extensive experience in both features and television.
He teaches Entertainment Law and Movie Finance at the UCLA and UC Irvine Law Schools and Contracts and Negotiation in the Graduate Producer's Program at the UCLA Film School. He is currently associated with The Point Media, a Beverly Hills law firm serving a broad range of entertainment industry clients.
He earned his B.S. and M.A. in English Literature from Villanova University and his J.D. from University of Toledo. He practiced as an associate with the firm of Kaplan, Livingston, a partner with the firm of Sidley Austin and later held senior posts at New World Pictures, Largo Entertainment and Alliance Atlantis. A member emeritus and former co-chair of the UCLA Entertainment Law Symposium, LaTerza holds voting memberships in the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, the Academy of Television Arts and Sciences, and the British Academy of Film and Television Arts.
His avocations include music and writing. He has written a number of screenplays and was represented by the William Morris Agency. A former professional pianist/vocalist and songwriter, La Terza had a nationally released CD and still performs regularly.
