Marc Weinroth is Assistant General Counsel at the University of Miami, where he manages legal issues involving the Athletics Department and represents the University’s interests in a variety of practice areas including litigation, intellectual property, gifts and probate, real estate and facilities, finance, general contracts, and purchasing. Prior to Miami, Mr. Weinroth spent seven years as an associate at the law firm of Weil, Gotshal & Manges LLP in its complex commercial litigation practice group. Mr. Weinroth received his JD, cum laude, from the University of Pennsylvania School of Law and holds a BA degree, summa cum laude, from the University of Florida. During his time at Penn Law, Mr. Weinroth also completed a Certificate of Study in Business and Public Policy from The Wharton School, served as a teaching assistant for sports business and law courses, and interned for a sports agency that represents professional basketball players. Mr. Weinroth is a member of the Sports Lawyers Association and serves as board member of the South Florida Chapter of the Florida Sports Law Association. At Miami Law he teaches Sports Law.
