Mr. Doolan was a partner in the international law firm Eversheds for 25 years, responsible for leading all business development activity in 28 countries across Europe, the Middle East and Asia. Since 2014 he has been managing partner in the Moller Group at the University of Cambridge. He authored the Harvard Law School Case Study on Business Development and teaches there as Guest Faculty.
During his time as Head of Client Relations at Eversheds, Doolan negotiated the terms of their ground breaking arrangement with Tyco and served as their first client partner. Under this deal, Eversheds replaced 282 firms to be the sole law firm providing legal services across Europe, the Middle East and Africa with an innovative fee arrangement.
His project to create new partnerships with clients following the 2008 recession won him a Financial Times Innovation Award and an arrangement with a group of clients to share know how and costs won the Law Society’s Excellence Award for Innovation in Client Service. Kevin trained Eversheds lawyers around the world from newly qualified up to partners in all aspects of business development and client care.
In his academic work, Kevin is a member of Faculty for the leadership program at The Judge Business School, University of Cambridge teaches on the ground-breaking LawWithoutWalls Program from the University of Miami School of Law and on the Masters in International Management Program at the London School of Economics and Political Science. He now consults into leading professional service firms around the world (particularly in London and New York) and is the author of two books – Natural Networking (2014) and The Financial Times Guide to Services Pricing (2015).
Doolan has a particular interest in the pricing of professional services and developed the Harvard Law School Case Study on Pricing (HLS 13-17). In 2013 he joined their Faculty as a Visiting Professor and teaches on their Executive Education Program.
He is a firm believer that teaching has to be engaging and fun if it is to have the most impact. At Miami Law Doolan teaches a course in "Corporate Skills for New Lawyers."
