Gregory Marsden is one of just a handful of U.S. lawyers qualified to practice in Spain. He has worked in a top Madrid law firm before moving into his own law practice handling commercial, administrative and arbitration matters for domestic and international clients.
For the past several years, Professor Marsden has been a full-time professor at IE Law School and IE Business School (Instituto de Empresa), as well as Director of IE’s Executive LLM Program with Northwestern University School of Law. In the past he was a founding partner at Marsden, Wirga & Asociados and an associate in the law firm of José Mario Armero. He is a member of the California State Bar and the Ilustre Colegio de Abogados de Madrid.
His teaching and research focus on subjects including international negotiation, comparative law and legal education. Professor Marsden has been a visiting professor at Universiteit van Tilburg (the Netherlands), Universidad Iberoamericana (Mexico) and Facultad Libre de Derecho de Monterrey (Mexico). At Miami Law he is teaching International Contracts: Drafting and Interpretation.
