Professor Dragnich joined the University of Miami in 2010 as a member of the Legal Communication & Research Skills faculty. She earned a B.A. in political science with distinction from Duke University in 2001 and a J.D. from the University of Chicago School of Law in 2004. During law school, she served as Articles Editor of the Chicago Journal of International Law and published an article regarding U.S. military troops overseas and the death penalty.
Following law school, Professor Dragnich joined the firm of Steptoe & Johnson LLP in Washington, D.C. Her practice focused primarily on the regulation of crude oil and petroleum products pipelines before the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission. She was also active in pro bono efforts, successfully obtaining grants of political asylum for clients from Rwanda and Cameroon, as well as securing Social Security disability benefits for a third client.
