Thomas A. Robinson, Professor of Law, was educated at the University of Idaho (B.S.), the University of California at Los Angeles (J.D.), and Oxford University (B.Litt.). After Oxford, he was in private practice for several years with a major Los Angeles law firm. He began his legal education career in 1977 as a professor at the University of Arkansas School of Law and joined the UM Law faculty in 1982. Professor Robinson was the founding president of the Law School's Order of the Coif chapter, and from 1992 to 1995, he was director of three of the Law School's graduate programs (in taxation, estate planning, and real property development). He has published articles in the tax, estate planning, legal ethics, and law teaching fields. Prof. Robinson has taught courses and seminars in estate planning, estate and gift taxation, corporate taxation, future interests, legal accounting, commercial law, trusts and estates, law and technology, gerontology, and administrative law.
