Professor Wagner is an international law scholar, currently pursuing his doctorate in International Economic Law from the University of Frankfurt Law School in Germany. Fluent in German, French and English, Professor Wagner also holds a J.S.M. (Master’s of the Science of Law) from Stanford Law School as well as a Magister Juris Internationalis and an Erstes Juristisches Staatsexamen (J.D. equivalent) from the University of Giessen Law School in Germany. He taught at the Heidelberg Center Para America Latina in Chile, and was an independent legal consultant for the Brussels office of the WilmerHale law firm. In 2006, Professor Wagner served as a comparative and international law clerk at the Supreme Court of Israel in Jerusalem. He also completed a clerkship with the District Court of Offenburg in Germany. In addition, he was a legal counsel for the Permanent Mission of Germany to the United Nations in New York in 2003.


Prior to joining the Law School in 2009, Professor Wagner traveled from the Black Forest in Germany to the Yellow Sea in China by bicycle for charity. For more information, please visit http://www.cyclingwithoutborders.org.
