David Abraham, Professor of Law, received a B.A. in 1968, an M.A. in history in 1972, and a Ph.D. in history in 1977, all from the University of Chicago, and a J.D. in 1989 from the University of Pennsylvania Law School. Prior to entering law school, Professor Abraham taught for many years in the history department of Princeton University.

 

Following graduation from law school, he served as law clerk to Judge Leonard Garth of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit and as an associate with Simpson Thacher & Bartlett. He joined the Miami faculty in 1991. Professor Abraham teaches Property, Immigration, Citizenship Law, Citizenship and Identity, and Law and Transition to Capitalism.
